Are you a Registered Electrical Contractor who is looking to perform works within Jemena’s Electricity network? Jemena services can be requested through our Connect and Manage My Electricity Portal or through an electricity retailer.

If the supply capacity you request is not currently available at the time of your connection or upgrade application, Jemena may be required to make changes to the network to meet your needs. This may impact the cost and timeframe of your request. If this is the case, a Jemena representative will be in contact once an application has been submitted and assessed.

Greenfield Connections Customer Service Standard
In March 2021, the Essential Services Commission (ESC) published its final decision paper speaking to its requirement for distribution businesses to engage with developers and their contractors about their Greenfields Negotiated Electricity Connection Customer Service Standard.
As per the ESC’s latest amendment to Jemena’s reporting requirements as of 17th March 2026, Jemena is required to report on its consultative committee meetings in the form of outcomes and actions published via its website.
