Inverter Manufacturer’s hub
To connect a new, replacement or upgraded solar system to the Jemena Electricity Network, the inverter and communication solution must support emergency backstop requirements. Learn more about Emergency Backstop mechanism.
All OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers)/Aggregators are required to pass the inverter validation test with Jemena and become an approved inverter for connection. In order to connect to the Jemena network, the system needs to be on both the CEC compliant inverters and Jemena's approved list of inverters.

Inverter not listed?
Jemena regularly reviews and tests inverter manufacturers, OEMs and communication solutions for compatibility with our emergency backstop requirements and network systems. Approved manufacturers and solutions are added to our published lists as validation activities are completed.
If your inverter, OEM or Software Communication Client (SCC) gateway is not currently listed, the manufacturer, OEM or aggregator may wish to engage with Jemena regarding the validation and approval process.
Once all required validation activities have been completed successfully, Jemena will issue a confirmation letter and add the approved OEM, aggregator or solution to the relevant published list.

Device Registration pathways
There are two types of device registrations available in Jemena’s Solar Connection Portal, My Portal:
- In-Band Registration
- Out-of-Band Registration.
Please note that Jemena only supports Out-of-Band Registration for Direct Device Model OEMs.
