INAS - Graduate turned Capacity Planning Engineer

Meet Inas. Inas originally joined our team as part of our graduate program, before being offered a permanent role as a Capacity Planning Engineer in our gas business.

She’s energised her career with us over the past few years, rotating through a variety of roles during her time as a graduate to now playing a critical role in making sure our network has capacity for current and future growth.

“I feel like I’m contributing to the future of energy, and that gives me a lot of job satisfaction.”

TIM - Apprentice Gas Services Technician

Meet Tim. Tim is an Apprentice Gas Services Technician with Zinfra working on the Jemena gas network in NSW, taking the opportunity to move into the energy industry after careers in the navy and as a landscaper.

As Tim says in the video, the career opportunities with us are amazing, and he has great job security – it’s the best job he’s ever had!

“Coming in as a mature-aged apprentice, I feel my experience is really valued in this company.”

DAVE - Primary Plant Engineer

Meet Dave. Dave is a Primary Plant Engineer working on our electricity network in Melbourne’s north-west. As well as the chance to wear high-vis and get out in the field to see what makes the network work, Dave enjoys the challenges of working towards the energy transition.

As he says, making sure everyone has access in the future to renewable energy is really important, and provides a good sense of purpose.

“One of the things I really like about my job is that I’m not chained to a desk.”

GOKUL - Sustainability Lead

Meet Gokul. Gokul is our Sustainability Lead at Jemena, relocating from the UK to join our team. In addition to loving the Australian way of life, Gokul is making a significant contribution to the Australia energy network of the future in his role.

As he says, one of the things he and the Sustainability team are working towards is making Jemena a net-zero business. Important stuff!

“Australia has been absolutely fabulous. It’s been such a diverse experience – diversity of landscape, of food, the coffee is amazing.”
