Jemena recognised as a top workplace to give back in the 2025 GoodCompany Awards

Nov 11, 2025

Jemena is proud to be named in the top 30 of the 2025 GoodCompany Awards.

The annual GoodCompany awards recognise Australian companies making a positive difference in the community through initiatives such as donations, sponsorships, staff giving and volunteering, fundraising, and other activities.

This is the sixth year in a row Jemena has been recognised by GoodCompany.

In 2025, Jemena’s inclusion recognises the positive impact of our ongoing community programs, support for customers with cost-of-living pressures, and the generosity of our people and their efforts to help give back.

Highlights include:

  • Supporting 16 grassroots community organisations to make a positive and lasting difference in their local communities by delivering $163,000 in grants through our 2025 Community Grants program.
  • Supporting seven Indigenous-led initiatives that deliver meaningful social impact in communities where we operate by delivering $70,000 in grants through our 2025 First Nations Community Grants program.
  • Supporting greater work opportunities for Aboriginal jobseekers across northern Australia through our Foundation to Future program.
  • Delivering community partnerships and programs that enhance energy literacy and advocacy for our culturally and linguistically diverse community members while offering direct energy bill and efficiency support for people struggling with cost of living pressures.
  • Promoting various employee fundraising drives, as well as providing donations to a range of local community organisations, sports clubs, emergency services and other causes our people support outside of work through staff volunteering programs.
  • Ensuring we’re there for our communities when they need us most, through donations and sponsorships to local services like CapRescue and the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

“Across our business, team members are passionate about giving back. Whether it's volunteering with local organisations or sports clubs, or using Jemena’s volunteer leave for meaningful, team-building experiences that create real impact in the community,” said Craig Ypinazar, Executive General Manager, People, Safety and Governance.

“We’re excited to be recognised by GoodCompany for the sixth year in a row”.
