Jemena announces changes to operating model and leadership team

Feb 11, 2026

Energy infrastructure company, Jemena, has announced it will implement a new organisational structure for its Jemena Networks business to better meet the changing needs of its electricity and gas customers.

The restructure will establish dedicated leadership and structures for Jemena’s electricity distribution network in Victoria and gas distribution network in New South Wales, ensuring each can sharpen its focus on growth opportunities and customer outcomes as the energy sector evolves.

Shaun Reardon has been appointed as Executive General Manager, Electricity Networks, and Nerise Cook has been promoted to the role of Executive General Manager, Gas Networks. The new structure will take effect from 9 March 2026.

Jemena’s Managing Director, David Gillespie, said the energy landscape has shifted significantly over the past few years, and the company is adapting to stay ahead of these changes.

“By separating our electricity and gas network operations and leadership, we can give each business the focus, agility and resources needed to continue delivering safe and reliable energy to our customers throughout the energy transition. We are confident these changes will enable us to best serve the communities and stakeholders where we operate for many years to come.

“With this structural change, our electricity business will benefit from dedicated leadership to support its growth and the technological innovation required to integrate more renewables and meet rising demand. At the same time, our gas business will have a leader and structure working to optimise our gas network in New South Wales and plan for the future, including the further potential integration of renewable gases.

“This clear focus will ultimately benefit our customers, ensuring we continue to provide the energy solutions they need in a safe, reliable and sustainable way,” he said.
