To better protect customer and business information, Two‑Factor Authentication (TFA) was recently introduced across My Portal. This added an extra layer of security while keeping access simple for everyday use.
What changed? When logging in, users were asked to confirm their identity with a one‑time verification code sent to their registered email address, in addition to their usual username and password.
Once verified, users remained logged in for up to eight hours, so the extra step didn’t need to be repeated throughout the day.

Why does this matter? The introduction of TFA helped reduce the risk of unauthorised access and phishing, and aligned My Portal with industry‑standard security practices , all without disrupting how retailers and councils use the portal day to day.

We've recently introduced changes to its Electricity Operating Model and Networks Leadership, aimed at strengthening how electricity services are planned, delivered and governed as the energy sector continues to evolve. Shaun Reardon has been appointed as Executive General Manager, Electricity Networks, and Nerise Cook has been promoted to the role of Executive General Manager, Gas Networks. The new structure will take effect from 9 March 2026.

You may remember we touched on Electricity Pricing and Services Plan in our December edition. Here’s a closer look at what’s changed, and what it means for our customers and the network.
We've formally submitted its revised 2026-31 Electricity Pricing and Services Proposal to the Australian Energy Regulator (AER). This proposal sets out how we’ll deliver electricity services, invest in the network, and manage customer pricing over the next
five years.
The revised plan is designed to support Australia’s energy transition, while keeping electricity services safe, reliable and affordable for customers.
What this means for our electricity:
This proposal plays an important role in shaping how we invest in and manage the
electricity network to support customers today and into the future.
