Q. You've rebranded. What was your old name?
A. Our business used to form part of the old Alinta Ltd. which was sold to a consortium of Babcock and Brown and Singapore Power International in September 2007.

Q. What is your new company name?
A. Our company name is Jemena. It's an Aboriginal word that means to hear, listen and think. It's pronounced Jem-e-na with soft vowel sounds.

Q. Why have you rebranded?
A. Under the 2007 Alinta Ltd. Sale Agreement, our owners Singapore Power International, had a legal obligation to rebrand our company by August 31, 2008.

Q. When did the name change take affect?
A. The name change took affect on August 4, 2008.

Q. Are all your companies changing name?
A. Alinta Asset Management Pty Ltd (AAM1) will now been known as Jemena Asset Management (6) Pty Ltd.

Q. Why did you choose this name?
A. Jemena became the clear choice for our new name when we realised that hearing, listening and thinking play a major role in all areas of our work. We hear what our clients, communities and staff are saying. We listen to their needs with open and active minds, and we think of innovative, creative and cost effective ways to deliver the very best solutions.

The safety of our people and the public remains our highest priority so we will always endeavour to show the right leadership, wear and use the right equipment, provide the proper training and most of all, we expect our staff to always think before they act.

Q. What is the new logo and what does it mean?
A. The new logo is a globe and is referred to as either 'the globe' or 'the j-globe'.

The logo represents the diversity of our business - Infrastructure Investments, asset management, infrastructure services and asset development. The colours of the logo reinforce this diversity whilst echoing the colours of nature - the blue representing gas, electricity and water; and the green representing a sustainable earth. The white upward pointing 'J' represents our aspiration to always deliver the best results.

Q. Have any ABNs changed?
A. No, all the ABNs remain unchanged because a change of name does not affect ABNs.

Q. Has the company changed contact details?
A. All contact details remain the same except all our staff now have email addresses that end in ...@jemena.com.au. These addresses used to end in ...@alinta.net.au. The staff name in email addresses remains unchanged. The people who worked for us when we were known as Alinta East did not change as a result of us now being known as Jemena.

Q. Have suppliers, customers, industry bodies and other stakeholders been advised of the change of name?
A. Yes, all of our major stakeholders have been sent a letter to inform them of our new company name. If you have not received this notification, please email customerrelations@jemena.com.au

Q. Who do I contact if I have any other questions?
A. If you have any queries about our new brand, you should email customerrelations@jemena.com.au
